Blog Introduction - Slices of Secret Pie
We wanted a place on the web where we can burst outside of the relative confines of this company website, and so our official blog, Slices of Secret Pie was born and is now live at www.secretpie.net.
The blog is the place where we write around the world we work in; it's the place where we will post articles about digital business after something we have seen or done gives us a nudge of inspiration, and the place where we may tout a line of thinking just to try and prompt some debate around a particular subject.
There are two main categories of articles - Random Fillings is for the articles that would otherwise be filed under 'miscellanious digital' and Baker's Dozens is where our top 13's will go. We'll try and keep these related to digital but we also apologise in advance if our top 13 music tracks of the noughties creeps in at some point!
We also wanted to show that websites can be built simply by using Wordpress software and therefore very easy to manage and update with relatively limited technical skill - the compromise is often that they are never as pretty as 'normal' websites but still do a job and have a place of growing importance in today's web.
Blogs live or die by the interaction they generate from visitors. Without comments and feedback and discussion they just become yet another website where the flow of information is a one way street, so with that thought in mind it would make us very happy if you could take the time to add a comment if inspiration hits you while you visiting.
We also welcome any contributions from guest writers, so if you have an article in mind and would like to appear as a featured writer on the Secret Pie blog then please get in touch and tell us what you're thinking of.
Finally, we do let the outside world leak onto this website in a few places, so if you have a blog or if you have seen someone else's that you think we'd like then send us a link and we may add you in one of our feature boxes or on our Links page.
